Global Nomi Telecommunicacoes E Servicos Lda a company registered in Madeira, whose address is Lda Rua 31 de Janeiro, 81 A 3° E, 9050-011 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal is a supplier of Mobile telecommunications Services and Home-talking Services ('Global Nomi') Nomi-Call Limited is a company incorporated under the laws of England and Wales, with registered company number 04865526 and whose registered office at 4th Floor, 11 York Road, The Tower Building, London, SE1 7NX . Nomi-call Limited is responsible for sales and distribution of SIM Cards, which enable users to receive the Services provided by Global Nomi, and for issuing Top-up Vouchers which can also be purchased through Third Parties and redeemed with Global Nomi.

For simplicity Global Nomi and Nomi-Call Ltd will both be referred to as 'Nomi' or 'We' in this Privacy Policy For the purpose of European Data Protection laws Global Nomi is the 'data controller' of any personal information you supply which relate to the supply of telecommunications services and Nomi-call Limited is the 'data controller' of your personal information relating to the supply of SIM cards and Top-up vouchers.

We have developed this policy because we want you to feel confident about the privacy and security of your personal information. Global Nomi and Nomi-Call Ltd is each registered under the data protection laws in Madeira (Portugal) and the United Kingdom respectively, and must abide by such laws in the manner in which they process your personal information.

What does this privacy policy cover?

This privacy policy only applies to how Nomi deals with your personal information. It does not apply to any other company or to any other company's websites even if you access them through Nomi. If you disclose your personal information to other companies your information will be dealt with according to their privacy practices.

What personal information do we collect about you, and when do we collect it?

The personal information we hold about you may include: your name, postcode, telephone number, email address, and IP address of the computer you are using and credit card details if you choose to use this method of payment for our products or services.

When you (or someone using your SIM Card, Home-talking account or Phone Card) make a telephone call or send a SMS message that uses our telephone network, we keep a record of that call (including the number called) to enable Nomi to charge for it. We also receive from other operators information about calls made over our network, where we need that information for connecting and billing purposes.

If someone abuses or damages the telephone network, for example by making offensive or nuisance calls, we may keep information relating to that abuse.

We have information about your use of our services (such as the amount of time you spend on a phone call), which we use to manage our network and for billing.

If you enter into any of our competitions or promotions, we may ask for information about you, which will be made clear at the time you enter. We will also inform you of the purposes for which the information you provide may be used.

We collect information from visitors to our websites to help us to make improvements to the websites and to the services we make available. We know, for instance, how many visitors there are to each website, when they visited, for how long and to which areas of our website they went. We may share this information with our advertisers and to other companies which offer their goods or services on our websites. For how long does Nomi keep personal information?

How can I change the personal information Nomi holds about me?

If the information we hold about you is inaccurate, you can use Nomi's website to amend your details. If you do not have access to the Nomi Website, please call Nomi-mobile customer care via 325 or 0845 872 0125 and let us know and we will make the necessary amendments and confirm that these have been made.

How can I manage Nomi's contact with me for marketing purposes?

You may choose not to receive marketing information from Nomi and, if you are already receiving such information from us, you can ask us to stop at any time. If you would like Nomi not to call or mail you with details of products, services and special offers, please call Nomi-mobile customer care via 325 or 0845 872 0125.

If you would like to stop unsolicited telemarketing calls from companies (including Nomi), please contact the Telephone Preference Service on 0845 0700707 or do this online at www.tpsonline.org.uk and register your telephone number(s). Direct marketing calls should stop after 28 days.

If you would like to stop unsolicited direct marketing mailings companies (including Nomi), please contact the Mail Preference Service on 0345 034599 or do this online at www.mpsonline.org.uk. Direct marketing mailers should stop or significantly reduce after 3 months. (Remember to re-register if you change your address).

How do we protect your personal information?

We are serious about guarding the security of your personal information and the details of any transactions made. We take appropriate organisational and technical security measures to protect your data against unauthorised disclosure or processing.

Our server and backups used to store the information you give us when you register or make and order (including your credit card details) are held in a secure environment behind firewalls and are password protected.

Secure transmission is used to send your personal information between the website and our server, and to other servers required for fraud detection and credit card processing.

When do we use cookies?
