Make a call or text
As soon as you have your Nomi-SIM in your mobile, you can make cheap international calls or texts in the usual way. To start calling abroad for less, just follow this guide:*
To make a call:
- Enter the telephone number (including the country and area codes) on your mobile phone’s keypad or find it in your mobile’s address book.
- You don’t need to enter a PIN or access number.
- Press the green button or call button on your phone to start dialling.
- Simply press the red button or call end button when you’re finished.
To receive a call:
- You can receive a call even if you run out of credit.
- Press the green or call button to answer your incoming call.
- Then simply press the red or call end button when you’re finished.
To send a text:
- Find the ‘Messages’ option in your phone menu and select it.
- Select ‘Create message’ and then ‘Text message’.
- Type in what you want to say.
- Select the number you want to send it to from ‘Contacts’ or type in the number.
- Select ‘Send’ and smile, your international text cost just 11p!
To receive a text:
- You can receive a text message even if you run out of credit.
- When you receive a text, an envelope will appear on your mobile phone. Depending on your settings, you may also get an audio alert, like a beep.
- Your handset will prompt you to ‘Read’ or ‘Show’ message.
- When you have read your text message, your mobile will provide you with a number of options, like ‘Reply’, ‘Delete’ or ‘Save’.
- You can store up to 50 text messages on your Nomi-SIM.
